About Ids

From a young age, Ids has been passionate about creating videos online. He experimented with everything from livestreaming on Twitch to uploading videos on YouTube. Alongside his personal projects, he also worked as a freelancer for various businesses and well-known content creators.

His curiosity and love for trying out new things eventually led him to discover Japan—first through anime, games, and social media. What started as casual interest quickly turned into a deep fascination with Japanese culture and language.

With a passion for travel and storytelling, Ids continues to explore new ways to connect people with life in Japan—through content that’s both helpful and honest (with a pinch of sarcasm when needed).

Timeline

2023
Study abroad

Ids had always dreamed of living abroad. So, when the chance came to study overseas, he didn’t hesitate—like, at all. From September to December 2023, he joined a study abroad program at Kansai Gaidai University in Japan. And yes, it was amazing.

Naturally, with his love for filmmaking and storytelling (and a camera never far from reach), he started documenting his life there. What began as a couple of videos turned into a creative spark that still hasn’t burned out.

2024
Graduation project

For his graduation project in Communication & Multimedia Design, Ids was challenged to create something meaningful that solves a real problem—because apparently, just making memes wasn’t allowed.

While doing research, he discovered that many people dream of moving to Japan but face various barriers like finding a suitable job and understanding the language and cultural differences.

With his fascination for Japanese culture and past exchange experience, he decided to create something that could actually help.

And so Borderless (@alifeinjapan) was born—a platform that helps people navigate the chaos of moving, working, and living in Japan.

2025
Start

After successfully graduating, Ids decided to go all-in on Borderless (@alifeinjapan). No backup plan, just pure dedication. His mission? To help others finally make the move to Japan—not just dream about it from their couch.
