For SkillsUni, an online platform for creative education, we developed a full strategy to boost trust and increase conversions. Through in-depth audience research, a new promo video, a refreshed brand identity, and stronger customer storytelling, we helped turn website visitors into active users and strengthened the platform’s connection with young creatives.

Challenge

Building Trust, Boosting Growth

SkillsUni is an online learning platform originally focused on music education, later expanding into other creative industries like dance, videography, and photography. Although the platform already attracted around 6,000 monthly visitors, it needed a more professional approach to drive higher engagement and conversion — turning curious visitors into active users.

 

The challenge was to find a way to bring the creative audience — musicians, dancers, creators — from social media to the platform itself, and to build enough trust and excitement for them to actually sign up and start learning.

Strategy

Starting from scratch, we conducted in-depth research into SkillsUni’s core audience: young creatives aged 16 to 25, people passionate about mastering new skills and connecting with like-minded individuals. We analyzed competitors, evaluated the existing platform, and identified key gaps and opportunities.

 

From these insights, several ideas were developed and tested directly with the target audience through an iterative process. The main takeaway? Transparency, community connection, and trust were critical. People wanted to see what SkillsUni really offered — not just in words, but visually.

 

We produced a clear and energetic promo video that showcased the platform’s services and community, creating an immediate sense of relevance and accessibility for the audience. At the same time, we reworked the brand’s visual identity, updating the logo and style to better fit the platform’s creative and dynamic spirit.

 

Customer reviews were another important discovery. By highlighting authentic user experiences directly on the website, we strengthened SkillsUni’s credibility and made the platform feel more trustworthy and professional.

 

Throughout the project, we handled project management, research, stakeholder communication, concept development, and full production.

Results

The improvements led to a stronger, more relatable brand presence and a higher conversion rate from social media to active users.

 

By focusing on transparency, updating the branding, and showcasing real user experiences, we helped SkillsUni move from “interesting” to “trusted and relevant” in the eyes of their audience — laying the groundwork for even stronger growth ahead.
